silicone

Our toys all consist out of additional cross-linked silicone. So it`s odourless for sure and doesn`t effect a allergical reaction. It doesn`t become distorted, stands up to heat, coldness, ozone, UV light and a lot of other attacks. Furthermore it is wear – resistant and receives elasticity.

Another incredible property is the slowness of heat loss – it feels fantastic!!

Unfortunately also silicone has it`s weak spot. Silicone does not tolerate lubricants out of oil and silicone - based. Please give me a favour and use only lubricants on the base of water.

It is a expensive and generous material: so it`s healthy and you have a barrel of laughs for a long time!

Three cheers for the discovery of silicone – it was one by pure chance!! Already 9 Years the chemist Richard Müller experimented with Methylchlorsilanen (raw material of silicone) before he incidentally found a pale mass in the year 1941 – the silicone was invented. Richard Müller worked in the nowadays manufactory in Dresden, where medicine gets produced (at that time it was known as chemical- pharmaceutical manufactory of Heyden).

You see, silicone and Dresden dovetails nicely. We`ve come full circle with our Self Delve toys in a funny way of life.

We are not able to imagine our everyday life without silicone. They belong to elastic, synthetic material for example rubbers, caoutchouc and elastomer. The chemical basis structure is only silicium and oxygen, do you know? Together they form a long and cross – linked chain molecule. Organic hydrocarbon adhere to the chain molecule. Depending on mechanism and molecule rest resulting a lot of incredible properties – out of this you can use silicone in different ways.

Most typs of silicone are regarded as physiological harmless, that`s why they are popular material. In plastic surgery for example in ways of implantats or equipment, in the cosmetical branche, or the using as receptacle for food is popular – and last but not least the dildo – producers for sure. Other typs of silicone fulfil in construction business a lot of tasks.
